Making the Invisible Visible
What about the Tufts' scene makes some of us drink foolishly?
How could it be that Tufts students are getting abused, stalked assaulted?
Why do we do what we do to our bodies? How well do we really know ourselves?
What's up with the culture here?
Why the blame? Why the secrets? Why the isolation? Why these choices?
What supports this? Who is controlling this?
Who needs to change? What needs to change? How?
A visual arts project about ourselves, culture change, sexual assault & alcohol awareness.
Across campus are life-size, wooden figures to serve as visual representations & in-your-face reminders of parts of OUR community that are often ignored, but must be spoken of & seen to be addressed.
Individually these figures express the thoughts of one or two
students, and, although as a group they may not represent the
totality of perspectives, they serve as powerful reminders (and,
hopefully, provocative conversation starters) of what we all live with --
at Tufts and beyond.
