What is the IN THE MIX Campaign?
In the Mix is a catch-all. It refers to the Tufts social scene. It means your life and who you are. It is the state of your body when you party. It is the dynamics at play in your relationships. It is the contents of your drink. It is your mindset when you hook up. All the ingredients that make up the total mix. It all counts.
In the Mix is a social marketing campaign sponsored by the Tufts Alcohol
and Drug Program and the Campus Violence Prevention Project. The purpose is to
provide some food-for-thought using creative means, provocative imagery and facts about the context of students lives that support risky behaviors and their
-- often unintended - harmful consequences. The goal is not to judge the choices you make or to control your behavior. The hope is that through outreach, prevention, harm reduction, awareness, information, marketing and being realistic and honest we can affect change in the culture and promote healthier living and decision making that serves you well
-- now and in the future.
In the Mix is a student driven effort involving visual artists, performers, activists and students generally concerned about the campus community. We look at the common roots of issues like alcohol and drug misuse, sexual assault, eating concerns, depression, stress and look to social change as a means to support individual and community change.
In the Mix is powerful, exciting, realistic and innovative. Get involved.
