Bonnie Lipton, M.P.H.
Program Coordinator and Evaluator for Tufts Community Cares
Bonnie Lipton is the program coordinator and evaluator for Tufts Community Cares,
a three year federally funded suicide prevention grant. Bonnie received a B.A. from
Wellesley College in Women's Studies, and a M.P.H in Health Behavior and Health
Education from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. At Michigan she
also participated in the interdepartmental concentration in Women's and Reproductive
Health.
Bonnie has experience in reproductive health, HIV education, chronic disease
prevention, multicultural health, and mental health. Prior to coming to Tufts, Bonnie
worked at the Institute on Multicultural Health at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit,
Michigan. There, she coordinated programs addressing health care disparities in
heart disease, diabetes, mental health, and other health issues. She also taught
workshops to health care providers on cultural competency. Bonnie has also worked
and volunteered at a number of reproductive health and HIV/AIDS non-profits in the
Detroit, DC and Boston areas.
Bonnie is excited to be back in Boston (her favorite city) and to be at Tufts.
