Welcome to the Tufts University
Health Service website
Tufts Health Service is a medical practice serving the acute
and chronic medical needs of undergraduate and graduate students.
Our staff has many combined years of working with college students.
Students come to the Health Service for a wide range of medical needs,
including general sick visits, women's health, travel medicine,
allergy injections, and orthopedic care. We pride ourselves on a
model that focuses not only on treatment, but also on health promotion
and prevention through education and awareness. Student input and
feedback is core to our mission.
WE ARE EXCITED! Health Service has a new way to communicate information to you
through a secure portal.

The Affordable Care Act is Improving Women's Health
One of the provisions of the recently passed Affordable Care Act
is that many contraceptives will be covered at 100% without a co-pay.
This provision will be adopted by health insurances on a rolling basis
over the course of the year, usually on the policy renewal date.
Tufts Student Health Insurance provider, Aetna Student Health, started
covering the designated contraceptives at 100% without a co-pay on
August 31 2012, when the policy for the new academic year went into effect.
Thus those with Student Health Insurance no longer have a copay for
contraceptive pills, Nuva Ring, the diaphragm or IUD. In addition,
Plan B is covered in full if it is a prescription that is filled
in a pharmacy.
