Community Outreach
November Food Drive GSC 5k
We run an annual food drive during the Fall semester collecting non-perishable foods to donate to the Somerville Homeless Coalition.  In the past this has involved standing outside the Star Market in Porter Square asking shoppers to buy something to donate.

This past year was a smashing success, as we collected 9 full boxes of goods to donate!
The Tufts Graduate Student Council 5K Run/Walk is held every year to benefit community and campus organizations. This year we are very pleased to be in our thirteenth year of partnership with RESPOND, Inc. of Somerville, a center that helps women and their children get out of abusive situations and rebuild their lives; and in our eleventh year of partnership with Project Hope, an organization based in Dorchester that helps women to take ownership of their lives through education.
