2003 Graduate Student Symposium

Symposium Date: April 5th
Submission Deadline : March 24th

The Graduate Student Symposium (GSS) highlights the exemplary research that is conducted at Tufts University. This interdisciplinary symposium is designed to help graduate students at Tufts obtain experience in presenting their research and developing the skills necessary to describe their work to a diverse community.

The GSS is an annual opportunity for graduate students from Arts, Science, & Engineering (ASE) and the Friedman School of Nutrition to present their research to the Tufts community. Last year's presentations ranged from a look at the Big Dig's effect on real estate prices, to the dangers of some commonly used herbs, from the effects of the slippersnail on shell selection by hermit crabs, to racialization in gay male pornography.

We invite submissions from every graduate student performing high quality research.

A two to four page synopsis describing each presentation is required of all symposium participants. The synopses will be included in an information packet distributed at the GSS. Subsequently, it be available at the Graduate Student Council office.
