Program Overview

The German program offers both graduate and undergraduate opportunities with its Masters program and its undergraduate concentrations.

The Program offers two majors: German Language and Literature, and German Studies, as well as a Minor in German.

The Program sponsors a German Language House on campus where ten students live. During the semester, regular programs include the "Kaffeestunde" (every Wednesday at 4 p.m.) and a "German Film Series" (Tuesdays, 8 p.m.). Additionally, Each semester German faculty organizes a German language weekend retreat in New Hampshire.

Consult the faculty advisor, Doris Pfaffinger, Olin 317 ext. 7-2621, about living in the newly renovated German House (21 Whitfield Rd.) and about special programs. Students interested in living in the German House can fill out a housing application.
