Programs Overview
We will begin accepting registrations/applications for Summer 2010 programs on December 1, 2009 at 9:00 am.
Tufts in Talloires:
May 17 – July 2, 2010
Tufts in Talloires is an opportunity for college students to spend
six weeks in the French Alps studying international relations, botany,
language, literature, or any two subjects from a wide variety
of intensive undergraduate course offerings. Students also visit
international organizations in Geneva, historical monuments in the area,
and participate in optional outdoor activities. No French is required
to learn from Tufts esteemed faculty while experiencing French culture
and residing with French host families.
Tufts in Annecy: July 3 – July 31, 2010
College students and adults who want to improve their beginner or
intermediate French language skills will find Annecy, the "Venice of France,"
and inspiring environment. Classes are taught by native French speakers who
are experts in developing speaking, listening, grammar, writing, and reading
skills. Residing with a French family facilitates language acquisition and
enhances the exploration of French customs and culture. Tufts students will
earn one full credit for participation in the French 1, 2, 3, 4 or Independent
Study (FR 21 or FR22) class.
Tufts Summit: July 3 – July 31, 2010
For rising high school juniors and seniors, a college-level course on international
relations is only part of an exploration into the complexities of world cultures
and global issues. French classes are complemented by living with a French host
family, and experiencing French culture first hand. Extracurricular activities
include hiking, swimming and a variety of other outdoor activities.
