Long-term Disability Insurance and ADA Accommodation

Long-term disability insurance provides partial salary replacement in the event that a medical leave is exhausted, and you are unable to return to work. In order to get this insurance policy, you must sign up for it before any medical leave begins. You may sign up for long-term disability insurance when you are hired, or apply for coverage during the annual benefits open enrollment period.

ADA Accommodation

If, due to a disability, you are only able to work part-time, you may be eligible for an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation. You may also be eligible for an ADA accommodation if you are able to work full-time, but need an accommodation of some sort. For additional information, contact the Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO).
