Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is a federal requirement by which the university must abide. The FMLA requires covered employers to provide up to twelve weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave with continuing group health insurance to eligible employees for parental, family illness, and medical leave. The FMLA leave runs concurrently with the Tufts paid parental, family illness, or medical leave.
