Experimental solid state physics. Magnetism and transport properties of highly correlated magnetic and superconducting materials such as exotic ruthenate materials, high termperature superconductors and materials undergoing metal insulator transition. Discovered striking non-linear current-voltage characteristics in highly correlated electronic materials. Developed unique method of measuring magnetic properties of materials under extremre conditions of high magnetic field, low temperature and high pressure.
