Scholarship & Research: Her current professional interests include how teachers' educational biographies and their subsequent assumptions about learning and teaching inform their teaching decisions; teachers as researchers of pedagogical questions in their own classrooms; and the development of children's ideas about the world, in particular mathematics and science. Children’s literature as situated in socio-political-cultural contexts.

Reynolds, M. 2002. Highlights of the Related Research, an essay on children's geometric thinking, for the Developing Mathematical Ideas case book on geometric thinking at the elementary level, a joint project of EDC in Newton and Summer Math for Teachers at Mount Holyoke.
