Professor Pepall received her Ph.D. from Cambridge University in 1983, and worked as a Research Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence from 1981-82. In 1983 she became an Assistant Professor at Concordia University and in 1987 she joined the Department of Economics at Tufts. She was promoted to Professor in 2003. Her primary field of research is industrial organization. She has published her work in many journals including Economic Journal, Journal of Business, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, Journal of Industrial Economics, and Economica. She is also the author (with D. Richards and G. Norman) of the textbook Industrial Organization: Contemporary Theory and Practice.
