Name: Larry Ford
Title: Professor of Physics
Departmental Affiliation: Physics & Astronomy Department
Degrees: Ph. D Princeton 1974; M.A. Princeton 1971; B.S. Michigan State 1970
Expertise: Theoretical physics, especially general relativity
E-mail: ford@cosmos2.phy.tufts.edu

Scholarship & Research: My research involves both general relativity and quantum theory. At the present I am involved in several projects concerned with quantum fluctuations and gravitation. These include studies of the quantum fluctuations of the spacetime lightcone, fluctuations of quantum stress tensors, various aspects of the Casimir and Aharonov-Bohm effects, and negative energy densities in quantum field theory.
