Karen Eggleston earned her Ph.D. in Public Policy from Harvard University in 1999 and then joined the Tufts faculty as Assistant Professor. Her research focuses on health economics (health sector reform in China, comparative health policy, payment system incentives, risk adjustment), transitional economies, and the economics of contracts. She studied in China for two years and was a Fulbright scholar in Korea. She has also been a Fellow at the Malcolm Wiener Center for Social Policy at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University; a Fellow in Aging and Health Economics at the National Bureau of Economic Research; and is currently also a Research Associate at the Kennedy School of Government.
