Ms. Buxton is an occupational therapist who specializes in the field of assistive technology. She is an outpatient clinical supervisor at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston. She has been working at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital since 1996 working in both inpatient and outpatient services with all different types of disability populations including persons with spinal cord injury, brain injury, complex medical, ventilator dependent, ALS, MD, CP, MS, and stroke. She also works in a private practice called, Assistive Technology Partners. She is certified by the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) as an assistive technology provider (ATP). She teaches Assistive Technology and presents in multiple healthcare and teaching venues.
