Committee Description & Work Load: The HPRC interviews students who are applying to a health professions school (i.e. medical, dental, veterinary). After the interview, a composite letter is written that includes the interviewers' impressions of the student as well as selected quotes from letters of recommendation written on behalf of the student. The committee meets each week from April through October, including the summer months. At the meetings, letters are read and discussed. Once a letter is approved by the committee it is sent to the various schools the student is applying to.
