Bylaws:

A subcommittee known as the Subcommittee on Foreign Programs whose function it shall be to oversee the Tufts' programs abroad. The subcommittee shall also have the authority to consider and make recommendations concerning policy issues relating to foreign programs not affiliated with this University. The subcommittee shall consist of nine faculty members. The ex officio members, without voting privileges, shall include the Director of the International Relations Program, the Director of Tufts Programs Abroad, the Director of the International Office, and the Director of Tufts European Center. The subcommittee shall have two co-chairmen, one a member of the Educational Policy Committee and one a member of the Committee on Curricula of the College of Liberal Arts and Jackson College.

Committee Description & Work Load:

The subcommittee meets in Dowling Hall three times each semester. The committee oversees the Tufts and non-Tufts programs abroad, devises ways to improve existing programs, considers applications from faculty or administrators to start new programs and reports to the EPC and the faculty through an Annual Report presented at the AS&E Faculty meeting. The committee advises and collaborates with the Staff in integrating students into the various foreign programs. The committee also acts as liaison between the administrators of foreign programs and the Members serve two-year renewable terms.
