Minor in Child Study and Human Development

The Department of Child Study and Human Development offers a minor in child development. Five courses taken within the department are required. For those students graduating in 2017 or before, you may choose between the old and new minor. The old minor requires choosing three electives and two courses from the following:

  • CSHD 01: Introduction to Child Development
  • CSHD 51 or 151: Intellectual Development
  • CSHD 61 or 161: Personal-Social Development
  • CSHD 62: Childhood Across Cultures
  • CSHD 155: The Young Child's Development of Language

The new minor requires taking CD 1 plus one from the previous list other than CD 1.
