Master's Programs

Our master's programs are committed to training our students to be scholars and practitioners who want to make a difference in the lives of children and adolescents, and impact the contexts in which they live: families and communities. Although we are concerned about the many challenges faced by children and families today, we identify strengths and promote positive attributes of children and teens so that they can thrive in the 21st century.

We are a diverse program with faculty expertise and student interest in a wide variety of fields, but we are also a strong, cohesive community that comes together to discuss research and scholarship in colloquia and informal settings. We also engage with each other socially at activities organized by the vibrant Graduate Student Organization, such as film viewings and panel discussions, and events organized by the department, such as Friday Sherry Hours.
