Writers at Tufts

The full and part-time faculty includes a number of prominent fiction writers, poets, and essayists. The program sponsors a writers' series, recently featuring poets Marilyn Chin, Mary Kinzie, Yusef Komunyakaa, and Gerald Stern, fiction writers Michael Martone, Stephen McCauley, Elizabeth McCracken, and playwright David Mamet. Students in the Ph.D. program organize readings of their own work, and have also established ongoing poetry and fiction workshops.
