The Department welcomes applicants from non-traditional academic backgrounds and is committed to the goal of achieving diversity in its graduate student population.

Please note that GRE Subject Test scores and a Writing Sample are required by the English Department, in addition to other materials specified by the Graduate School application.

Your complete application to all graduate and certificate programs must include:

1. Application for Admission.
2. College Transcripts.
3. Letters of Recommendation (3).
4. Resume.
5. Personal Statement.
6. GRE General scores.
7. GRE Subject score (English Dept requirement).
8. Writing Sample (English Dept requirement).

The postmark deadline for International Student application materials is December 15. The deadline for all other applications is January 15. Please send materials to:
