Educators Weekend at Mystic Seaport
Location: The Museum of America and the Sea, 75
Greenmanville Ave., Mystic, CT

Free Admission for teachers and their
immediate families (up to 4 people)!
Join our celebration of the International Year of Astronomy at
the Mystic Seaport Planetarium. Learn how ships used stars to
navigate the seas in the past and how it compares to GPS today.
Follow the world voyages of the Charles W. Morgan, the last
wooden whaling ship in the world. Try your hand at shipbuilding
tools, then marvel at the critical restoration work of the C.W.
Morgan in the Preservation Shipyard. Every teacher who comes to
Educators Weekend will receive a free classroom poster on the
Morgan and celestial navigation. (Be sure to bring your school
or union ID). Educators’ Weekend is sponsored in part by Target.
