| About The Media Center
The Technology Learning and Media center provides tools,
equipment and resources designed to encourage an interactive
online environment where faculty and Department of Education
graduate students can share and manage their course content and
assignments. The center houses Windows and Mac desktop
computers, Mac laptop computers, video and still cameras,
digital audio recorders, and pod-casting kits.
In the Spring of 2008, the Center collaborated with Tufts UIT
Academic Technology team to create an electronic portfolio
template that allows for the creation of personalized online
websites where students and faculty have the ability to post
videos, reflections, and relevant course documents connected to
their curriculum requirements. The Digital Toolbox integrates a
user-friendly rich-text editing feature to allow for intuitive
updates and editing.
Additionally, the Center works with programs within the Department
of Education to produce videos designed to showcase and enhance
content goals and promote programs and partnerships within Tufts
University.
The Center also offers the following individual workshops
periodically during the academic year:
- Podcasting in Education
- Editing with iMovie
- Editing with Final Cut Express
- Building a Digital Toolbox
- Video Shooting Techniques
