David has returned
to Tufts after 12 years away as Professor of Physics and Curriculum &
Instruction at the University of Maryland. His work has been in the
learning and teaching of science, mainly physics, across ages from
young children through adults. More specifically, he's studied students'
intuitive "epistemologies" (knowledge about knowing and learning), how
instructors interpret and respond to student thinking, and on
resource-based models of knowledge and reasoning.

David's web page.
