Katharine Furst
Kathy has taught widely in the field of art
education from kindergarten through graduate school. She has lectured
at Framingham State College and Lesley University. After years of
teaching a range of grade levels in public schools, she currently
teaches art in a Natick public school to students in grades K-4. She
frequently presents her research and classroom practice at
professional conferences, including the New England Art Education
Association.
Kathy has been awarded numerous grants for her work to integrate art
with a range of topics and for implementing multicultural curriculum.
She holds an M.Ed. in Creative Arts in learning from Lesley University
('01) and B.S. in Art Education and Photography from Massachusetts
College of Art ('73).
