Gabrielle received her Ph.D. in the Math, Science, Technology, and Engineering Education program at Tufts University. She graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2002 with an S.B. in Brain and Cognitive Sciences. Her main research interests lie in the applications of cognitive development to elementary education, such as understanding how children learn and children's intuitions about mathematics and problem solving. She has been with the Early Algebra, Early Mathematics Project since September, 2004.
