Finance Professor of the Practice
The Department of Economics invites applications to fill a full-time,
non-tenure-track faculty position as a Professor of the Practice in Finance
for a non-renewable term of five years beginning in January 2013. The
Department is looking for a finance professional with an interest in
teaching primarily undergraduate students in areas such as basic financial
market theory and practice, real estate finance, consumer finance, and banking.
The teaching load will be three courses per year. In addition, this position
entails directing the Tufts Finance Initiative, developing educational programs
and lectures on finance-related topics, and mentoring and advising students on
internship and career opportunities. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent
and a demonstrated record of achievement and practical experience in the field
of financial economics, financial markets and related areas, along with a
commitment to excellence in teaching.
