Full-Time Faculty Stelios Michalopoulos
Stelios Michalopoulos is an Assistant Professor of economics at Tufts University. Dr. Michalopoulos completed his B.A in International Economics and Finance in the Athens University of Economics and Business in 2001 and his Ph.D. in Economics at Brown University in 2008. His primary research interest lies in the area of economic growth. In particular, he has focused on the role of ethnic diversity investigating theoretically and empirically the determinants of ethnic group formation. On other research papers he has analyzed the role of financial innovation, the evolution of entrepreneurial spirit along the process of development as well as the climatic origins of the Neolithic Revolution. Additional areas of research interest include international economics, political economy as well as development economics. |
