Past Projects
Do It In The Dark 2007

Do It In The Dark is our annual energy reduction competition.  The dorms will compete to reduce energy use by the greatest percent from October 15th to November 14th.  We will be holding Climate Fest on November 29th to celebrate the completion of Do It In The Dark.  The winning dorm's students will be eligible to enter raffles for fabulous prizes!

Alternative Transportation

We are currently investigating converting the Joey and/or diesel powered Tufts grounds vehicles to use bio-diesel.  We will be collaborating with the chemical engineering department to build a processor to convert with the waste oil that dining services produces.

Think Outside the Bottle

Have you thought about where the water that you drink comes from?  Tufts students are teaming up wit the national Think Outside the Bottle Campaign to educate about the environmental impacts of drinking bottled water.

Wind Energy

Power your dorm with wind energy!

Thank you to the over 300 students who bought wind power in the Fall 2006 semester.  ECO is again selling $10 wind renewable energy credits to offset the dirty energy used by students.

RECs can be purchased at any time by following the instructions at http://www.tufts.edu/tie/tci/getclean/, or via the 3phases website online at http://www.3phases.com/footprint-calculator/.

Step It Up!
Tufts Participates in the National Step It Up Rally. Check out images of the event.
