Joanne Bertelsen Barnett, Theater Manager

Joanne Bertelsen Barnett is the Theater Manager and Executive Director for Tufts Children's Theater. She received her M.A. in Drama at Tufts; She received a B.F.A. in Ballet at Texas Christian University.

Joanne has been a member of the department since 1980, and has extensive theatre management experience ranging from being the executive director of touring performance companies to managing the theater at Tufts for the past 20 years. In addition, Joanne is the Executive Director of the Tufts Children's Theater programs which include Magic Circle and Creative Arts in the summer, and Collins Players and Tufts Scene Study during the school year. Joanne has many years of experience in training students in arts administration and box office management, many of whom are currently working with theaters and performance groups in New York, California, and throughout the United States.
