Drama

Linda Ross, Lecturer and Costume Designer (full-time)

Linda Ross is a Lecturer and Costume Designer. She holds an M.F.A. in Costume and Lighting Design from Brandeis University and is a member United Scenic Artists. Linda's costume designs have frequented New York stages and regional theatres around the country, including 2econd Stage, Playwright's Horizons, The Alley Theatre, Hartford Stage, and Seattle Repertory Theatre. While primarily focusing on costume design for the theater, she has also designed costumes for dance, designed lighting for theatre, and assisted costume designers on projects for film, television, and opera. She has been the 1st assistant or associate costume designer on numerous projects including shows on Broadway and in London's West End. She is the recipient of a nomination for a Lucille Lortel Award. Recent favorite designs include Goodnight Moon at The Seattle Children's Theatre, The Pillowman at The Alley Theatre, and Heart of Grace for H.T. Chen and Dancers at Dance Theatre Workshop in NYC. Linda has taught Theatre Design at North Seattle Community College. When she previously lived in Boston over 10 years ago, she held the staff position of Assistant Costume Shop Manager/Design Assistant at the American Repertory Theatre and also worked as a Costume and Lighting Designer at Magic Circle Theatre.
