Daniel McCusker, Senior Lecturer (full-time)

Daniel McCusker choreographs for a wide assortment of performers and venues and is a senior lecturer at Tufts University; he curates and produces the tHisTHat show and co-directs the Young Dancers Program at Summer Stages Dance. He directed Ram Island Dance Company, a community arts organization, in Portland ME, and danced in national and international tours with the Lucinda Childs Dance Company. He has taught at Holy Cross College, the Dance Complex in Cambridge MA, at Jacob's Pillow (where he was a guest choreographer for the Ballet Project,) at ADF and for the American College Dance Festival Association.

His dances have been performed by regional and university dance companies in the United States and Canada; presented by the Danspace Project at St. Mark's Church, Riverside Dance Festival, Dance Theater Workshop, the WPA and Dance Place In Washington, DC and presented in self-produced concerts in New York and around New England. He has received support for his work from the NEA (Choreographer's Fellowships, and Dance Company Grants,) the Maine Arts Commission, NYSCA and private foundations.

He trained with Alfredo Corvino and studied with Gwyneth Jones, Judy Padow and at the Cunningham Studio. Workshops with Debra Bluth and Olivier Besson have had more recent impact on his dancing.
