Gretchen Hayden, Lecturer (part-time)

Gretchen Hayden received her S.D. from Nritya Bharati Institute, Calcutta. She is a Kathak dancer, teacher, and  performer. She has had extensive training since 1972 with renowned Kathak master, Chitresh Das. She was the principal dancer of the Chitresh Das Dance Co. in California 1980-1992. Hayden has performed solo recitals and teaching in the United States, Europe, Canada, and India. She moved to Massachusetts in 1992 and established a branch of the Chhandam School of Kathak Dance. She taught classes and private lessons held at Cambridge Dance Complex, MIT, and Wellesley College, Northampton, Massachusetts.
