Drama Tom Connolly, Lecturer (part-time), Theatre History, Dramatic Literature and Criticism Tom Connolly is Associate Professor of English at Suffolk University and Visiting Professor of Literature and American Studies at the Institute of English Philology at the University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic. Connolly is a former Fulbright Senior Scholar. His is the author of George Jean Nathan and the Making of Modern American Drama Criticism and British Aisles. He has contributed numerous articles to the Oxford Encyclopedia of Theatre and Performance, The Cambridge Guide to American Theatre, The Encyclopedia of New England Culture and many other reference works. He has lectured in Central Europe for the United States Information Agency. He has been a theatre history consultant for The New Yorker, CBS, NPR and the BBC. Connolly has served on the governing board of the Eugene O’Neill Society, been managing editor of The Eugene O’Neill Review and review editor of Theatre Research International. He is the recipient of the Parliamentary Medal of the Czech Republic.
