Graduate Students Linda Lau Linda Lau earned a B.A. and M.A. from San Francisco State University in drama. She wrote her master's thesis about the Chinese communist play, The White-Haired Girl. Her current research interests include contemporary Chinese performance, critical and racial theory, and popular political performance. She is interested in the intersections of modernity, race, and ontological discourse in the realms of Chineseness and Blackness. She plans on writing her dissertation on issues of identity and urbanity in contemporary Hong Kong performance. She is also excited to be the student representative for the Association for Asian Performance for the 2009-2010 year. |
