Aura Dovidjenko

Aura Dovidjenko is a Masters student. She achieved her B.A. and her Licenciatura in Hispanic Literature and Linguistic in Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, where she taught for several years. During this time, she has been dedicated to study the construction of the image of women in the theatre of Pedro Calderón de la Barca and its correspondence with Baroque painting. She is also fascinated with the political negotiation disguised upon the stage, from the "invisible" performances of the market place, the subtle discourse of a colonial court play, to the ideological transgression of a post-modern theatre.
