Dance Program: 25th Anniversary
In 2008-2009, The Dance Program celebrated its 25th year in the present departmental arrangement. As part of our celebration we presented a 25th Anniversary Concert, an exhibit, and other special activities. Viewing our webpages will provide a snapshot of the Program in its present existence.Alumni/ae going back to the early seventies paved the way for an official Dance Program which began in 1983. Part of our celebration was the reconnection to past students who participated in curricular dance on many different levels. Because we have no computer records for classes before 2001, our list of alumni/ae contacts is not complete. 25th Anniversary Season, 2008-2009
Correction for the above e-news article: Myrna Packer is the wife and dance collaborator of 70's alumnus, Art Bridgman, who was a student activist on the dance scene then. Ms Packer did not attend Tufts. The driving force of the dance explosion of the 70's was the instructor of that period, Griselda White, a brilliant educator, mentor, and award-winning faculty member at Tufts.
