Natalie Rusk

Natalie is a first year PhD student in the Child Development department. She has worked at the MIT Media Lab developing new tools and materials, including PicoCrickets (small programmable devices for making artistic inventions) and Scratch (an easy-to-use programming language).


She has more than 15 years experience establishing creative programs in museums and after-school centers, including the Science Museum of Minnesota's Learning Technologies Center, the PIE Network, and the Computer Clubhouse. As part of the DevTech group, she is now interested in how creative applications of technology can help parents and educators support children's positive emotional development.
