Vector Visualizer® Setup

System Requirements:

  • 133+ Mhz Pentium class CPU with Windows 95/NT or newer
  • 32M RAM
  • Netscape Navigator 4.06 or more recent (4.6 does not work, but 4.61,4.7, 4.79 are GOOD)
  • The VRML player "Pivoron" from Nexternet (formerly Cosmo Player)

Your Current Setup:

  • Windows NT
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0
  • Unfortunately, Netscape is currently required.

Where To Get Parts:
To obtain Netscape go to Download Netscape

To obtain Pivoron VRML player go to DownLoad Pivoron

Nexternet's Pivoron Player Installation Tips:
First, use the "Add/Remove Programs" utility in the "Control Panel" of the Settings option in the Start menu to remove old CosmoPlayers if there are any. Cosmo Player is an earlier version of the VRML player which has been replaced by the Pivoron player made by Nexternet.
The Pivoron installer will add "c:\Program Files\Nexternet\Player\" to your PATH environment variable. You may need to make modifications to the autoexec.bat file to make sure this variable is set.

Download VectorVisualizer.exe updated March 17, 99

After you download, double-click on VectorVisualizer.exe. This will create a folder called "VectorVisualizer". Inside that folder is a file named "StartVisualizer.htm". Open this file with Netscape to do the tutorial. The program takes a while to load. "Document: Done" in the Netscape status line does NOT mean the program has finished loading.

To uninstall: simply delete the VectorVisualizer folder.
