Using Visualizer:
The Vector Tutorial
The folder VisualizerMac/VisualizerTutorial/ contains a collection
of files that run in Safari or Internet Explorer as in interactive
tutorial. To start the tutorial start the browser and open the file:
_startTutorial.html. If you wish to use Internet Explorer it can be
obtained as a
free download.
Run Visualizer as an Application:
The files in folder VectorILD comprise an Interactive Lecture Demo
about vectors.
To run these under Mac OS X simply double click on the .Vis files.
There are 2 MS word files in the folder as well, one for the student
and one for the presenter. These are ILD.VectorIntroComp(pred).2-01
(for student predictions) and ILD.VectorIntroComp.PN.2-01 (notes
for the presenter).
To run Visualizer as a stand-alone application on the Mac OS 9
double click on the application "VisApp" in the VectorILD folder.
Remember, you need MrJ2.0 or newer installed on your machine (OS 9
only) in order for this Java application to run.
You can also start by double clicking one of the .Vis files found in
the folder VectorILD or Visualizer Tutorial. Double click on each of
the files in succession to carry out the interactive lecture demo.
If a .Vis file does not start up this way try dropping it on the
"Make Visualizer Doc" converter located in the VectorILD folder and
then double click on it.
