The data that follow are the result of using the motion detector (a Microcomputer-Based Laboratory (MBL) tool) in the context of a carefully constructed curriculum with students in various high schools around the co untry as part of a project (primarily funded by the US Department of Education) at the Center for Science and Math Teaching at Tufts University. The questions are the same as described in the results from Massachusetts high schools. The information has been excerpted from papers listed in the references of the project narrative.
This paper is available in its entirety from the Center. Check out the Information Page to request a copy.
