The Crafts House is located at the Anthony House on 14 Professors Row. It's the big brown house with a green roof and a sometimes missing tire swing. The house has three floors, a full kitchen, two full and two half bathrooms, three single bedrooms, five doubles, one triple, a great big common room. The house holds a lot of meaning for house residents, past and present. It was built in 1875 and became a Jackson dormitory in 1938. Gradually, the house started to be known as a place for students interested in crafts. The people living there thought it would be nice to open their environment to the larger Tufts community. In 1969, the basement of 14 Professors row became the Crafts Center. A few years later, as a generous gift, the space in Lewis hall which is now the Crafts Center was given to the special interest house. Every year alumnae return for the legendary House Thanksgiving (Sunday before Thanksgiving) to feast and reminisce.

food co-op
| In the Crafts House, we share a
unique eating experience. Each individual chips in an equal amount for the
semester. We then take turns going shopping for the house every Sunday, and
every night Sunday through Thursday prepare a delicious dinner for ourselves and
anyone in the Tufts Community who wishes to partake. It totally beats any dining
plan you can get, financially and fun-ly. Drop on by and share in the delicious
goodness.
