University Policies & Regulations
Below are a few university rules that we ask all our
participants to follow for their own safety while on the Tufts
campus.
Alcohol The alcohol policy at Tufts University complies with the laws of
the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. For anyone age 21 and older,
alcohol may only be consumed in residence hall sleeping rooms,
with the doors closed or at sponsored functions on campus.
Alcoholic beverages may not be consumed in any residence hall
lounge areas or hallways.
Cooking Due to university regulations, no cooking is allowed in any
dormitory during the summer months.
Disability Please notify the Conference Bureau in advance of any special
needs or disabilities. Upon notification, all possible efforts
will be made for arrangements to accommodate special needs as
covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Emergency and Health Services The Tufts Police Department is on-call 24 hours. Also note the
blue lights around campus, which indicate a campus phone
connected directly to Tufts Police in case of emergency.
Whenever possible, an emergency should be directed to a
Conference Bureau staff person to help you.

signed by a parent or guardian before treatment may be
administered.) The minimum charge for a doctor is $30.00 but can
range up to $100.00, depending on the services needed (lab fees
and prescriptions additional). All charges must be paid at the
time of the visit.

should be presented to gain access to athletic facilities and
university libraries. Please carry it with you at all times
during your stay.

be returned at the end of your stay. There is a $55 charge for
any key not returned, and a $10 charge for any meal card not
returned.
All bills are payable upon receipt. Any unpaid balance will be
subject to a carrying charge of 1.5% per month on the amount not
paid within 30 days.
