About Us
Tufts University is
located just a few miles north of Boston, yet the quiet campus
offers traditional New England charm. The campus is situated
close to cultural and historic
Boston, Cambridge,
and Logan
International Airport, all located only minutes away and
accessible by public transportation.
We offer a broad range of meeting spaces including large
auditoria that seat from 100 to 600 participants;
classroom-style plenary and breakout spaces from 10 to 100; and
banquet space for up to 500.
Each summer from late May through mid-August, we open up our
residential halls to conference guests and offer convenient
accommodations close to your meeting. These accommodations are
furnished with twin beds, bureaus, desks, chairs and a closet.
We also supply each room with linens, pillows, blankets, towel
and soap. In most of our residential halls, shared bathrooms are
located along the hallway.
Various meals, breaks and receptions can be tailored to meet
the needs of your group. Tufts' skilled chefs can work with you
to develop a variety of menus that will please your guests as
well as take into account your budgetary guidelines. Conference
dining is offered in the Dining Hall and catered meals in
private dining rooms. We can also help with arrangements for on-
or off-campus receptions, clambakes, theme parties and more!
In addition to the many opportunities for entertainment and
sports activity on campus, a wide variety of tours, trips,
movies and other special activities are arranged for our
conference participants each summer. This site describes many of
the activities held at Tufts University during the summer. You
will also find further information regarding the Tufts campus,
housing and dining, conference coordination and support
services.
We can assist you in making plans for a conference on the
Tufts University campus or we will cooperate with one of the
many fine area hotels to arrange and coordinate your conference,
institute, seminar or meeting.
Tufts University also has a wonderful conference center in
Talloires, France
just 20 miles from Geneva, for your international or European
programs.
In addition to its conference planning expertise, Tufts has
over 30 years of experience offering summer
English as a Second Language
programs as well as programs for
university and high
school students both here and abroad.
Please call the Conference Bureau at (617) 627-3568 or
e-mail to arrange a
meeting to discuss your program requirements. We look forward to
meeting with you!
