HCOP Reviews

Johana, Class of 2008

HCOP is an amazing program for students interested in the Health Professions. Through practice questions, study groups, and more I have gained a more in depth understanding of the topics I encountered in class. This has allowed me to perform better on exams and various other assignments. With the program, I attended the AAMC conference in Boston. This conference truly encouraged me to remain focused on seeking my goals of becoming a physician. I also attended a lecture by Gloria White-Hammond, a great role model whose story I found incredibly enlightening. I greatly appreciate the guidance I have received from Glenda Molina, our mentor, and professors Edith Balbach and Carol Baffi-Dugan. They really care about our present as well as future success.   Johana, Class of 2008

Vanessa, Class of 2005

I joined HCOP during my second semester of freshman year. This opportunity has provided me with some of the most defining experiences of my four years at Tufts. HCOP has provided study groups and private tutors that have helped better my study habits and grades as well as countless opportunities to interact with Carol Baffi-Dugan (the pre-med advisor) which have been instrumental in helping me form a better relationship with her. Most importantly it has created for me a support network of students who have been confronted with the same challenges and shared the same goal as I do, acceptance into medical school. Meeting upperclassmen who are already on their way to medical school and being able to talk to them about how they overcame some of the fears I was experiencing has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my college career. In addition, HCOP has also financially supported my preparation for the MCATS this spring and for this I am very grateful.
