Position: Research Associate

Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate in the Center for Cognitive Studies, 2005-6. Research Associates have no fixed duties, and are expected to pursue their own research agenda while at the Center, but preference is given to candidates whose proposed research overlaps in promising ways with projects underway at the Center. 

The deadline for receipt of applications is January 15, 2005. The position begins with the academic year, i.e., September 2005, and ends June 2006. Letters of application of no more than three pages should outline a specific research agenda, and explain why the Center is an appropriate place to pursue it. A CV and writing sample should accompany the application, together with the names, addresses (email addresses if possible) and telephone numbers of three referees. Referees will be contacted only if candidates advance to the short list. Do not ask your referees to write at this time to the Center.

The compensation for Research Associate for 2005-6 has not yet been determined, but it will be in the range of $36,568 with full benefits. Research Associates need not have completed the doctorate, and in some circumstances, informal or formal supervision of a dissertation-in-progress by the Director can be arranged.
