Amnesty International- We are a global organization working to promote human rights.  The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is the standard we use when evaluating the actions of countries and individuals.  Often Amnesty actions involve fighting for the rights of political prisoners and prisoners of conscience, abolishing the death penalty, cruel treatment of prisoners, political and ethnic killings, mistreatment of women and children, and the opposition of human rights abuses in general.

Environmental Consciousness Outreach-ECO strives to raise the awareness of the Tufts community and the surrounding area through both education and action.  Our goal of environmental awareness is to interlink the effects of our individual and collective actions upon our local environments with those of our actions' effects upon the global environment.

Tufts Feminist Alliance- The purposes of the TFA are to establish a broad constituency to work in pursuit of feminist ideals--social, political, and economic equality for women; to study and take action on national, campus, and local feminist issues and concerns; to provide leadership and career building opportunities for feminist students; to educate the college/university community about feminist issues; to enhance the feminist community on campus.

Hillel Social Action Committee- To involve Tufts students in volunteer and charity projects within a Jewish context. (Note: Events open to all students).

Tufts Men Against Violence- As men and women concerned with male violence, we will explore our identities, educate the community and ourselves, and create social change.

Oxfam Cafe- We are a non-profit, all-volunteer, student-run cafe located behind Miller Hall.  All profits of the cafe are donated to Oxfam America, which works towards eradicating world hunger by addressing the root issues.

Oxfam Collective- The purpose of the Collective is to raise awareness among ourselves and the Tufts community about hunger issues and to raise money for World Hunger in the fall, and a Hunger Banquet.

Pan African Alliance- PAA works to empower the African American community on campus.  The main goals of the group are to: increase the black population on campus, which is now less than 4% of the total student body; increase the number of African American tenured faculty (there are only three); and getting the university to implement all of its resolutions marked "priority 1" from it's taskforce on race (it has only changed 2 of those 25).

Students for the Ethical Treatment of Animals- To educate ourselves and the Tufts community on Animal welfare issues.

Tufts Recycles- The Tufts University recycling program was established to promote recycling awareness and participation in a broad range of related environmental issues. Tufts Recycles draws its strength from the entire Tufts community and is supported
by senior university administrators. We strive to maintain an active role in student as well as staff and faculty life. We seek
partnerships with others in promoting responsible recycling programs.

Tufts Transgendered, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Collective- The organization serves as a safe place/outlet for discussion and activities related to sexual orientaions.

Visions of Tibet- The organization works towards the self determination of all peoples in all places.  We hold Tibet as a model, but we also work for East Timorese, Burmese, and Native American movements.  We are primarily a political organization, but we also have a strong cultural concern.

Visions Tufts- Visions Tufts is a member of Visions Worldwide, a non-profit international organization dedicated to community activism.  Our current focus is on the AIDS virus, but we are supporters of all forms of social, political, and economic activism.  Currently we are working as volunteers for the AIDS cause and to raise awareness of the disease on and around campus.
