Nearly 100 Tufts students a year receive academic credit for interning in print journalism, book publishing, broadcasting and film, digital/multimedia, the recording industry, advertising, marketing communications, public relations, and other communications fields.
During the school year, students intern at Boston media outlets. In the summer, they intern throughout the world, with the largest number of interns working in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, and Washington DC.
In the summer of 2009, 27 students received CMS credit for their internship experience. Summer internships in recent years have included The Late Show with David Letterman, Dateline NBC, CBS-TV, WGBH-TV, National Public Radio, Walden Media, the TV Guide Network, and Nickelodeon.
