Career Services

Our partnership with the Tufts Career Services office is an extremely valuable one for our students.

CMS frequently works with Career Services on events and other programs. Each year we jointly sponsor a “Communications Networking Night,” which brings more than 30 media alumni together with students for informal information exchange and networking. This year we also co-sponsored a second event – “Jobs in the Media: Tips for Seniors” – designed to help guide seniors in finding media jobs in a poor economy.

On a day-to-day basis, we constantly encourage our students to make use of the very valuable staff expertise in Career Services. Students get help in writing resumes and cover letters, and learn how to do informational interviews. We direct our students to internship and job listings available through Tufts Career Connect to thousands of alumni names registered with the Tufts Career Network, and to career fairs and other programs offered throughout the year by Career Services.
